Fr. Samuel became the full-time parish priest of St. James Armenian Church in September, 2020. He is a graduate of both St. Nersess Armenian Seminary and St. John’s School of Theology (2010).

Fr. Samuel is joined by his beloved wife Yn. Danielle DerAsadourian.

In 2010-2011 they spent a year in the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem where Fr. Samuel (then as a deacon) continued to prepare for the priesthood and Yn. Danielle taught at the Sts. Tarkmanchatz Armenian School.

From 2011-2013, Fr. Samuel served as a pastoral intern to Fr. Diran Bohajian at St. Leon Armenian Church in Fair Lawn, NJ.

Fr. Samuel was ordained to the holy priesthood by His Eminence Abp. Khajag Barsamian on Dec. 7, 2014 at St. Sarkis Armenian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his sponsoring priest, Bishop Daniel Findikyan.

In addition to weekly church services and programs, Fr. Samuel enjoys visiting with individual parishioners and families for conversation or enjoying a cup of coffee. Please contact the office to schedule a visit or stop by the church.

In addition to his service in the Church, Fr. Samuel is an avid fisherman (trout and bass in particular), and enjoys other activities and sports, especially hiking, gardening, board games, and baseball.
